The following paintings are copies of originals that Matthew López, PA-C, painted and are just a few examples from his personal equine portfolio. With relentless "nagging and arm twisting," we were able to persuade Matt to post these three examples. 

The Fantasy Horse^©

^{Matt painted The Fantasy Horse when he was 15 years old. He won the Ohio State Art Contest with this one! The Fantasy Horse has been a favorite of Palomino aficionados around the world.} 

^{"Ever since I can remember I have dreamt of a golden horse...a dancing, prancing  mare with a snow white mane and tail...one night I saw her so clearly...the next day I sat down with a set of color pencils my mom had bought for me at a thrift store because we couldn't afford 'the good stuff'...I remember finishing this so quickly, yet feeling a feeling that I have not known since... she poured from the pencil onto the paper...I remember hearing my heart beat in my ears...I heard her heart beat too...I saw her every muscle twitch and vein pulsate as she danced from the pencil onto the page..."}
